I bought this during a lightning sale on a whim. Postulated a new laptop to replace my 3.5 twelvemonth old HP laptop that was starting to freak out on me, simply hadn’t done also much research yet. HP Pavilion dv6-6115nr I’m fairly slaked hence far, just worried nigh what’s to got due to some minor problems I’ve had already.
For starters, the DVD/CD drive is extremely hard to open. Not sure if I merely went a lemon, merely I have to press Style also hard on the subject push to induce it to open and it takes several tries to do it. I fear this drive might not open wholly soon. I’ve believed sending it back due to this concern, but conceive it might be likewise much of a hassle for something I’m not certainly is a brobdingnagian problem. The other headache is that, when I took it away of “sleep” manner the other day, the screen commenced freaking away and showing some lines across it. Computer had to be restarted and it’s worked fine since then. Possibly this was a one-time thing. Having received the computer for only two weeks, I’m getting a bad vibe.
The other issue I get is that I’m not super comfortable applying the keyboard and mouse. It may just take getting employed to. My old HP is identical like to this one as far equally the feeling and layout. Yet, the keys on this are rocky and construct loud clicking sounds when I character or press the mouse buttons. My old HP was more silent when I typed and clicked the mouse buttons and seemed to be more smooth when doing this. Also, when I movement the mouse across the screen, it seems to glide faster than I mean for it to. Like, I’m trying to mouse over a spot on my screen and the arrow SLIDES slenderly past the manoeuver I’m aiming for and I get to slide it back. Kind of annoying.
